EKA VISUAL IDENTITY
EKA's old identity was outdated and since EKA was finally moving to the new building, it was time to send Pegasus to its well earned retirement. In the five-day workshop we brainstormed ideas for the new visual identity. Our proposal was to use custom typeface with several character sets, which would work as dynamic identity.
CULTURE JAMMING – HOW TO CRITICISE?
“Basically everything that includes art, media, parody and outsider stance could be called culture jamming.”—Mark Dery. Narrowing the term down even more, we could see critique as a form of storytelling that refutes or questions certain narratives or everyday normatives. In my graduation project I thoroughly researched the different ways to criticize. As a result I wrote an essay and a screenplay that address the topic at hand and acts as a metaphor, describing my graduation project’s overall process and fear about my own future.
GD18 SHOW VISUAL IDENTITY
Some may ask - why and for whom do we need to create a graphic design graduation exhibition? In our opinion it’s for the graduates themselves, and what could be more important than focusing on them? Graduation exhibition is a grandiose culmination, but at the same time it’s just a small step towards our overall future. Despite this we shouldn’t underestimate this step because everyone’s starlight begins from somewhere.
